About the Teller
Alaskan storyteller, Ingrid Nixon, is an award-winning, world-traveling storyteller who whisks listeners away on journeys of the imagination. Exploration nail-biters, tall tales, traditional and personal stories—she tells them all on international expeditions, virtually, and at venues around the country, including the National Storytelling Festival. She is a champion liar many times over and – no lie – holds a Masters in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University. She leads skill building workshops on story crafting and performance. Listen for Ingrid on public radio, as she “Story Borealis,” a program dedicated to the art of oral storytelling on KBBI.org. She lives in Southcentral Alaska. More at IngridNixon.com.
Reviews/audience comments
Ingrid Nixon is warm, eloquent and witty. She will enter the Town Hall of your heart and set all the bells to ringing.
~ Elizabeth Ellis, master storyteller and author
Ingrid is an excellent teller ... She is funny, elegant, handles personal experience stories with a lot of humor, as well as pathos, and makes folktales quirky and relevant to modern lifetime situations.
~ Jim May, storyteller and author

~ K.R., listener
Great techniques that I can use to freshen up my 'tried and true' stories, and use to generate my own versions with new material.
